Friends and family react on the Supreme Court Verdict in Sushant Singh Rajput case

The Supreme Court on Wednesday handed over the the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has been handed over to the CBI. In its notification, the Bihar Government said, “The Governor of Bihar is pleased to accord is his consent to exercise of powers and jurisdiction to the whole of Bihar and other places related to the case to the members of Delhi Special Police Establishment to Investigative and enquire into the case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.” 

Soon after the verdict, Ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande took to social media to share: The moment we’ve waited for has finally arrived. She further added, “Gratitude.”Sushant’s sister Shweta Kirti Singh also tweeted: CBI it is!!! #JusticeForSushant #CBIEnquiryForSSR #CBIenquiry. The announcement comes just a day after the Bihar Chief Minister sent the Centre the request on receiving the consent of the actor’s father KK Singh. The CBI, which falls under the Union Home Ministry, will now take over the probe. The apex court has also said that the "truth should come out so far as the actor's death is concerned," news agency PTI reported. Sushant was found hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in suburban Bandra in Mumbai on June 14. The case for the past 50 days was investigated by the Mumbai Police.
