Gaurav Arya denies supplying narcotics to Rhea, to arrive in Mumbai for ED interrogation

Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya, who allegedly exchanged messages about drug consumption with late Sushant Singh Rajput's actress girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, will appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday. Gaurav, en route Mumbai, was snapped at Goa Airport where he went on to say that he has no connection with Sushant's case. As quoted by ANI, he said, "I have no connection with the case. I never met Sushant Singh Rajput. I met her (Rhea) in 2017." Gaurav has constantly denied his connection to the case and dismissed allegations of supplying any drugs related substance to Rhea and her associates. For the unversed, Rhea's WhatsApp chats have been accessed where the actress went on to speak about rugs with Jaya Saha, SSR's former manager, Samuel Miranda, and a man named Gaurav Arya. India Today went on to write that Gaurav is allegedly a 'drug supplier.

'Gaurav is a hotelier in Goa who runs a hotel and a restaurant. He moved to Goa a decade ago and resides in North Goa. According to a Hindustan Times Report, ED officials  visited Hotel Tamarind run by Arya at Anjuna, a coastal village in north Goa, but found the property to be shut. They stuck a notice on the door of the hotel stating that Arya must meet Rajiv Kumar, assistant director, ED, at 11am on Monday in connection with a case filed under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. According to officials, the hotel has been shut since the lockdown restrictions were enforced in March to contain the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing Rajput’s death case and has so far questioned Chakraborty, Showik, Rajput’s manager Samual Miranda, domestic help Keshav, cook Neeraj Singh, flatmate and friend Siddharth Pithani and accountant Rajat Mewati.
