Happy Birthday Kapil Sharma: From Earning 500 to Being Highest Paid Comedian

When we talk about the king of comedy shows, we often think of Kapil Sharma's name. However, to reach that position, he had to struggle a lot. According to sources, his journey began from earning 500 rs to a net worth of over 300cr. He is currently hosting The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.  Today Kapil Sharma is turning 43 years old, let's have a look at his journey so far. 

Kapil was a part of 'Comedy Circus' for a long time and also hosted shows like 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' and 'Chhote Miyaan.' The launch of 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' in 2013 brought him nationwide fame.  Kapil made his Bollywood debut with 'Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon,' followed by films like 'Firangi' and 'Zwigato.' His Netflix stand-up special, 'Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet,' displayed his versatility.

Starting from earning 500 rs, Kapil became India's highest-paid comedian. His journey from financial struggles to owning properties worth crores showcases his remarkable success. With properties in Mumbai and Punjab, he also boasts a lavish car collection.

In 2009, he entered the comedy reality show "Hans Baliye" as a wild card and later won "Comedy Circus Ke Superstars." Kapil received the Entertainer of the Year award in 2013 at the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year awards. He was appointed Brand Ambassador by the Delhi Election Commission during the 2014 Lok Sabha Election. Kapil appeared on shows like "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge," "Comedy Circus," and "Star Ya Rockstar." He co-hosted "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 6" with Manish Paul and made guest appearances on "Kaun Banega Crorepati."
