Hollywood actress Naya Rivera goes missing after she goes for a swim with her son

Actress Naya Rivera, best known for playing Santana Lopez on hit TV musical drama "Glee", is missing after a trip to Lake Piru, California. Meanwhile her 4-year-old son, Josey was found floating alone on the boat. The actress reportedly rented a boat for the afternoon with her son. When the boat wasn’t returned on time, the staff at the lake reportedly found it with the child but couldn’t find Naya. 

Apparently, the boy told investigators that he and his mother were swimming - but the she never got back into the boat. The police set out on a search and rescue operation, but the actress was not found. After halting the search for the night, the authorities are reportedly set to resume the operation on Thursday. On Tuesday, Rivera posted her last social media post on Twitter on Tuesday that featured a picture of herself with her child.

Who is Naya Rivera?

Rivera began her career as a child actress and model, appearing in TV commercials in the US. As a four-year-old she starred in the Royal Family sitcom, and had a number of other TV appearances. In 2014, Rivera starred in the horror film At the Devil's Door. She married fellow actor Ryan Dorsey in 2014. The couple divorced in 2018 and have joint custody of the boy.
