The original track of ‘Vande Mataram’ ia a heavily Sanskritised Bengali poem written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in1870s. It was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896.

He quotes “I loved singing Vande Mataram while in school, it always came straight from my heart. I love this soulful patriotic track, also there hasn’t been a new version of Vande Mataram for a long time now, hence I wanted to revive it”. Ankit being from RSS Vidyalaya, recited the national anthem and the national song daily. Not only does he have fond memories connected to this song, but it’s also where his strong sense of patriotism comes from.
