‘It’s a bailable offense’: Rhea's lawyer reacts on actress allegedly buying illegal drugs

Celebrity lawyer, Satish Maneshinde has  reacted to a criminal case filed against her client and her brother Showik by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly procuring illegal drugs. In his interview to  Zoom TV, Maneshinde said that there are lots of speculations pertaining to the case and that even if Rhea has procured drugs, it is a bailable offense. He called the hullabaloo around the case as ‘hungama.’ In the report, Maneshinde said, “There are a lot of speculations. Sushant used to consume drugs at home, the servants used to get it for him. Only during pandemic, messages went out from Rhea’s phone. Those drugs which were for Sushant’s consumption, and if someone is procuring those drugs (Rhea has never consumed drugs, she’s ready for medical test), it’s a bailable offense. 

The maximum amount of fine and punishment would be 1 year. I don’t know what sort of hungama is being made out of this. We’ll face it. We’ve faced ED, MuPo, CBI and we’ll face NCB as well.”The Jalebi actress and her brother, recovered WhatsApp chats show that she allegedly procured illegal drugs such as MDMA, Marijuana and Hashish. She had supposedly mentioned these drugs in conversations with Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya, talent manager Jaya Saha and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda. Recently, Rhea’s brother Showik’s chat, allegedly with a drug peddler, had also come to the fore, wherein he asked for ‘drugs for his dad to consume. The Sushant Singh Rajput case is being investigated by the CBI, ED, and NCB, the late actor was found dead at his residence on June 14 under mysterious circumstances.
