Kartik Aaryan not invited for Karan Kohar's birthday bash in Alibaug?

Producer-director Karan Johar is all set to turn a year older on May 25, 2021. Now the latest buzz is that the filmmaker will ring in his 49th birthday in Alibaug in the form of a lavish birthday bash. Not only that but the occasion will also see some star-studded names from the industry in attendance.  However, one name that is missing in the list is Kartik Aaryan. For the unversed, Kartik and Karan had a ugly fallout during the filming of Dostana 2. Although Kartik had already completed 20 days of shoot for the film, 'Creative differences' between production house and the actor is said to be the reason for his fallout from the film. As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the real reason behind the fallout was because of monetary reasons 

A source told the entertainment portal, "Kartik Aaryan had come on board Dostana 2 in 2019 for a minimal amount of Rs 2-3 crores, and at present, his market value is upside of Rs 10 crores. At first, he asked Karan for a hike in his acting fees mid-way as his market value had gone up big time in the last two years. While Karan believed it was unprofessional on Kartik’s part to renegotiate the remuneration mid-way, he tried to compensate him with another film, Mr Lele."The source added, "Kartik also agreed to come on board the said film and was all charged up for a quirky ride. But to his surprise, he found himself replaced all of a sudden by Vicky Kaushal without being notified. Kartik was also upset with Dharma Productions when they gave Shashank Khaitan's Yoddha to Shahid Kapoor. Although Shahid soon quit, they never approached Kartik for the role anyway, "The source further said, "Meanwhile, Kartik continued giving reasons of the COVID-19 pandemic to not start shoot for Dostana 2 and Karan didn't push him much either given their relationship. But when he shot for Dhamaka, Karan was upset. They had an indoor meeting where Karan expressed his disappointment. "It is also being reported that Kartik wanted Karan to sign him for Sharan Sharma's next, then only he will resume Dostana 2 shoot. This did not go well with KJo and both stopped talking to each other.

On the other hand as per a Pinkvilla report, for Kjo's birthday, the guest list includes Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Natasha, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Manish Malhotra, Kriti Sanon, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma/Virat Kohli, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Bhavna Panday, Ananya Panday, Ishan Khatter, Seema Khan, Neelam, Zoya Akhtar, Rani Mukherjee, Aditya Chopra, Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone. The invites have been sent to all these celebrities to arrive at Alibaug.  Karan has decided to divide the birthday celebrations into 3 days, including the 24th, 25th, and 26th of May. The number of guests has been divided as to not crowd the affair and some of them will start arriving from the 23rd.
