A few weeks ago, Sanjay Dutt had announced he was taking a break from work to focus on his health. Soon after, it was reported that the actor was battling cancer. Later, pics of the veteran actor from hospital surfaced online. The actor recently completed his first round of chemotherapy and the second round is will begin this week. Today, Maanayata took to social media and shared a picture of Sanju along with a positive note. She even mentioned the song ‘Ruk Jaana Nahin’ in her note. The movie was put on hold owing to the ongoing pandemic. Due to the lockdown, like other Bollywood films, even Shamshera's production was halted for six months. A source informed the daily that the actor reported back to work at a city studio on Monday. The actor took the necessary precautions and followed the SOPs while he was on the sets. The actor's appearance on the sets comes almost a month after he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor in key roles. Sanjay was last seen in the film Sadak 2, a sequel to his own ’90s film, Sadak. It also starred Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film which was one of the most anticipated films of the year opened to negative response from critics and audience alike.
