NCB questions late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s domestic help Neeraj and Keshav

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday summoned late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s domestic help for questioning in connection with the recent arrest of Rajput’s flat mate, Siddharth Pithani, in a drugs case. According to NCB sources, Rajput’s domestic help, identified as Neeraj and Keshav, were taken to the agency office at Ballard Estate and were being questioned till late Sunday night. A few days ago, Sushant's flatmate, Siddharth Pithani was arrested from Hyderabad last week and brought to Mumbai. He has been charged with conspiracy to supply drugs in the SSR case. He was produced before the court last Friday and is in NCB custody till June 1.

The NCB started the drug probe last year after the Enforcement Directorate allegedly found WhatsApp chats involving Sushant and his close ones talking about substance use. Through their investigation, several Bollywood celebrities were also interrogated. So far, 35 people including Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik have been charged in the drugs case that emerged as part of the investigations into Sushant Rajput's death. While Rhea was in custody for a month, her brother got bail after nearly 3 months.

The Narcotics Control Bureau stepped into the case after WhatsApp chats allegedly found on Rhea Chakraborty's phone revealed texts allegedly involving the buying of drugs for the actor. Sushant Singh Rajput commited suicide at his home in Mumbai on June 14 2020. Sushant made a name for himself on the small screen, especially with Pavitra Rishta, where he played the lead role, before jumping to the big screen. Sushant broke on to the big screen with Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che, based on Chetan Bhagat's bestselling book The Three Mistakes of My Life.
