Kangana Ranaut and actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi got into a war of words after Jaya Bachchan's parliament speech went viral on social media. The Queen actress, slammed Bachchan for defending the Bollywood film industry during Tuesday’s parliament session.“The industry was not created only by Karan Johar/his father, it was created by every artist and labourer, by Babasaheb Phalke, by the army who saved the borders, the leader who protected the constitution, the citizen who bought the ticket and the audience. The industry is made collectively by crores of Indians,” Kangana said in a tweet, hitting out at political analyst Agrawal.

What followed next was producer Dwivedi stepping in to question the actress on her statement and reason saying that by this logic, everything was interlinked. “We have also bought tickets for your films, but if you do something wrong or right tomorrow, we can neither blame the whole film industry nor we praise them.”Kangana hit back asking the producer, “What did you build? Item Numbers? Most of the sleazy films? Of drugs culture? Treason and Terrorism?”She went on to state, “The world laughs at Bollywood. It is a mockery everywhere in the country. Dawood has also earned money and name, but if you want honour, then try to earn it, don't hide behind black tricks."Taking the conversation forward, Nikhil asked the star, “If this was such an absurd place, what attracted you? You stayed here even after suffering so much. You must have seen something here right? We see the same thing right?”Kangana tactfully replied saying, “Yes, I was attracted. But because of the mafia which is persecuting and oppressing people here. They are bound to get unmasked someday and they are.”

However, Nikhil seemed to disagree with her statement, and said, “You also know this is not true.”In his tweet, he claimed that the actress was “attracted by the same good” that he also saw. “I too came from outside like you, but did not get as much success. The talent and hard work you put in was more than me. But nobody stopped me from being successful, and nobody will stop you either. That's why you are what you are,” he said. Earlier,  Nikhil Dwivedi have voiced their support for Kangana Ranaut, whose Mumbai office was partially demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.  Nikhil said that while he doesn’t endorse Kangana’s opinions about the film industry, he feels that she has been wrongly treated in this case.
