Nisha Rawal accuses Karan Mehra of physical assault, having an affair

TV actor Karan Mehra who rose to fame with Star Plus soap opera Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been accused of beating his wife. Mehra's wife Nisha Rawal who is also a TV actor has alleged that her husband thrashed her after a fight last night. Mehra was arrested from his Mumbai house over the complaint. Shortly after, he was granted bail.

But the two had avoided talking about it. But now Nisha Rawal has come forward and made serious allegations against Karan Mehra. Nisha also held a press conference for this.

Nisha Rawal has accused Karan Mehra of having an affair and he used to physically assault her. "He used to hit me, it's very common. But he is an actor and he's smart who understands cameras. Many times my face used to turn black and blue. Sometimes he used to punch me or hit me with a bag. You can't show proof during such times. Do you click pictures?" said Nisha Rawal while talking to the media. 

"He is alleging that I'm doing this for money or that I have done fraud. You guys are the media and I have submitted proof to the police, including bank statements. Karan manipulated me and took all my jewelry. But I gave it to him, thinking that he is my husband. But I didn't know what was going on. He said that we were under financial pressure. I told him that let's sell the apartment and move into a smaller flat," Nisha Rawal added.

However, Karan Mehra has denied all the allegations and said that his wife banged her head on the wall to teach him a lesson. According to Mumbai Police, there was tension between the couple for a long time over some disputes, but last evening their brawl turned serious. The actor allegedly abused and pushed his wife causing hurt. Karan Mehra came to the limelight after playing the character of Naitik in a popular television soap 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'.
