Pakistan's iconic band Strings end their musical journey of 33 years, fans distraught

After 33 years, Pakistani music band, Strings, announced, on late Thursday, that they are disbanding. However, their farewell note insisted that the members, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia, still share a great bond. Strings said in a statement issued on Instagram, "Hey guys. This post is a bit different from the usual. We have decided that today, 25/03/2021, is the day we graciously get to conclude STRINGS. The past 33 years have been incredible for both of us. It's so rare to have the chance to be able to do things like this and we are infinitely grateful to all of our fans for making it possible. We hope you found it worthwhile as well :)"

"While the band technically may not be together anymore, both of us share an inseparable bond that will connect us no matter where life takes us. Thank you so much for everything." Distraught fans thanked the band Strings for beautiful memories. Comedian Bhuvan Bam wrote, “Thank you for the great music and an amazing childhood. Your melodies will stay with the world forever! Best wishes for the future (sic).” While some fans called it “End of an era (sic),” others were reminded of how the British band One Direction split up. One fan wrote, “They rly pulled a one direction on us (sic).” In a demand for a proper farewell, many people also demanded one last concert. Strings was first formed in 1988 with four members, as a college band. However, it saw ups and downs in their journey as a collective. They ruled the music scene in the 90s and gained popularity in Pakistan as well as India. Their musical hits like Dhani, Na Jaane Kyu, Duur, Yeh Hai Meri Kahani, Mera Bicchra Yaar, among many others. The band’s last album Thirty released in 2019.
