Payal Ghosh alleges her life is under threat, demands Y category security

Actress Payal Ghosh who accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct has now demanded Y-category security from the government. On Sunday Payal said,  she would resort to a hunger strike if no action is taken against the filmmaker. Today the actress will be visiting the Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari to request Y-category security for herself. Meanwhile, her lawyer, Nitin Satpute tweeted saying, “Payal Ghosh Along with Her Lawyer Adv Nitin Satpute &Asso will visit to Hon. Governor @BSKoshyari at 12.30 pm on 29/9/2020 at Rajbhavan. Will Give Letter for Y Security to Payal Ghosh and Adv Nitin Satpute as their life is Under Threat. "

The ‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’ actress Payal Ghosh recently lodged an FIR against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for several offences, including rape to wrongful restrain to outraging the modesty of women and wrongful confinement. While the filmmaker has dismissed all the allegations, on Sunday the actress told reporters outside Versova police station that she would go on a hunger strike if the police take no action against Kashyap. Ghosh’s lawyer, Nitin Satpute in his official statement added, “My Client Payal Ghosh has informed me that, “if Justice is not done with her she will go for Hunger strike.” Opening up about their next legal move, Satpute shared with IANS, “Our priority is to get Kashyap arrested, because the offence is non-bailable. We have lodged FIR and we have not received any response from Kashyap. We do not want any response but we want the police to arrest him,”
