The Bombay High Court today granted bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Reacting to the same, Taapsee hoped that Rhea’s time in jail has sufficed the egos of people who have fulfilled their agendas in Sushant Singh Rajput’s name. Taking to her Twitter handle, Taapsee wrote, ‘Hope her time in jail has sufficed the egos of a lot of people out there who in the name of justice for Sushant fulfilled their personal/professional agendas. Praying she doesn’t become bitter towards the life she has ahead of her. Life is Unfair but Atleast it’s not over as yet.’ Reacting to this verdict, Bollywood celebrities' are now taking turns on social media to express their views.

‘Thappad’ filmmaker Anubhav Sinha who earlier demanded the release of Rhea, tweeted saying, “Finally!!! She gets bail #RheaChakraborty”. Retweeting Sinha’s post, filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, “Go get some rest girl.”Soni Razdan hailed the Bombay High Court for the verdict and tweeted, “🙏🙏🙏 @MumbaiHighCourt”While Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea was accepted with Rs 1 lakh bond, the court rejected her brother, Showik Chakraborty's plea. The HC refused bail to one more co-accused and alleged peddler, Abdel Basit Parihar, while granting it to Samuel Miranda, house manager of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Dipesh Samant, Rajput’s staff. The High Court has ordered Rhea to mark her presence for 10 days at the police station after release, deposit her passport, not travel abroad without court permission and inform the investigating officer if she has to leave Greater Mumbai.
