Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mourned the death of veteran actor and theatre personality Shriram Lagoo. The thespian actor breathed his last in a private hospital in Pune due to age related illness he was 92. Taking to his Twitter handle Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, "Dr. Shreeram Lagoo personified versatility and brilliance. Om Shanti. ' In 1978 he received the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor for the Hindi film, Gharaonda. He worked in over 200 films including Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. Some of his iconic films include, Sadma, Swayamvar, Sau Crore, Jyoti Bane Jwala, Des Pardes, and Inkaar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mourned the death of veteran actor and theatre personality Shriram Lagoo. The thespian actor breathed his last in a private hospital in Pune due to age related illness he was 92. Taking to his Twitter handle Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, "Dr. Shreeram Lagoo personified versatility and brilliance. Through the years, he enthralled audiences with outstanding performances. His work will be remembered for years to come. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his admirers. Om Shanti."

In the morning several B-town celebs expressed their condolences on social media remebering the actor who was known for his iconic role of Ganpatrao aka Appasaheb Belwalkar in the play 'Natasamrat.' In 1978 he received the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor for the Hindi film, Gharaonda. He worked in over 200 films including Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. Some of his iconic films include, Sadma, Swayamvar, Sau Crore, Jyoti Bane Jwala, Des Pardes, and Inkaar.
