Rajinikanth seeks blessing from elder brother after political venture announcement

Rajinikanth paid a visit to his elder brother Sathyanarayana in Bengaluru on Monday. Dressed in an all-white avatar of a shirt and and veshti, the actor-politician was seen taking the blessings of his brother. The latter blessed the new political aspirant by gifting him a shawl.The relationship between Sathyanarayana Rao and Rajinikanth had been made evident ever since Rajinikanth's political aspirations began circulating across media. Earlier, in August 2019, Rajinikanth visited his brother at a private hospital in Bengaluru. Satyanarayana Rao had undergone surgery for his leg-injury. Therefore, Rajinikanth went to the hospital to ensure the well being of his brother.  

He also took pictures with the hospital staff which went viral during that time. Rajinikanth had announced on December 3, that he will be launching his party in January, and that he will be making an announcement about it on December 31. He expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious in the Tamil Nadu elections, that are scheduled to take place around April-May next year. On the movie-front, Rajinikanth has Annaththe directed by Siruthai Siva who had earlier directed three consecutive films with Ajith Kumar. Annaththe is being produced by Kalanithi Maaran of Sun Pictures with music by D Imman. In his recent press meet, Rajinikanth said, "I have 40% of portions left for my film Annaththe. Though Kalanithi Maaran sir told me not to worry about it, I feel the responsibility to finish the film before actively taking interest in politics".
