Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik to approach High Court for bail

Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik Chakraborty’s bail please was rejected by a special court today. Advocate Satish Manshinde, who is representing the Chakraborty family, shared in a statement that they are likely to approach High Court. “Once we get a copy of the NDPS Spl Court Order , we will decide next week on the course of action about approaching the High Court ,” stated the lawyer. Rhea and Showik were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) with regards to the drugs angle that is being probed into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

While Showik was arrested last week, Rhea was taken into custody by the NCB on Tuesday night. On the same day, her bail plea was rejected by a magistrate court and the actress was sent to 14-day judicial custody. On the other hand, contrary to what the legal team of Rhea Chakraborty was arguing, the counsel for Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) revealed that the NDPS special court was satisfied that statements given by the Bollywood actress were voluntary and not influenced. ‘Strongly opposing’ actor Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) claimed that she was clearly involved in financing activities related to illicit trafficking of drugs. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which registered a case of money laundering in connection with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is soon likely to register another case on the basis of the findings of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
