Actress Rhea Chakraborty had a traumatic 2020 after her boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput died at his Bandra residence on June last year. The actress was also arrested and sent to jail for a month by the NCB after her named popped up in alleged drug chats. The actress was later released on bail. The legal proceedings  took a toll on her personal life, and her career went downhill. Now, as per a Indian Express, report, the actress is now in Hyderabad looking for work due to the lack of opportunities for her in Bollywood. She has been knocking every door she can, asking for work, trying to get her life back to normal.” Rhea was the target of a long public and media trial after Sushant’s death, whom she was dating at that time. Rhea faces an uphill task but she needs to do so in order to move on and start her life again from scratch. The actress was also not included in the promotions of Chehre, and she was just spotted in the trailer for a few seconds.

The film's producer Anand Pandit later told Zoom TV, "There was never any question of not having Rhea in the film. She was, is and will always be an integral part of Chehre. I don't believe in getting swayed so easily." Chehre was slated to hit the theatres on April 9. However, it has been delayed due to the resurgence in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai. Rhea, meanwhile, made a comeback on social media to help those in need amid the second wave of pandemic. After she received requests from her follower, she has been amplifying the same and mobilizing resources on her stories. "Tough times call for unity, help all those that you can… Small help or big help, help is help... Dm me if I can help in any way... will try my best... take care, be kind... Love and strength," she wrote. She also shared a photo of Hanuman Chalisa held in her hand and prayed for the power and strength to "withstand this misery". "Give us the power to fight this storm , Give us the strength to withstand this misery Give us your blessings to heal . Jai Bajrangbali," she wrote.
