Rhea's brother Showik and Samuel Miranda sent to NCB custody till Sep 9

In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda who were arrested in the drugs angle have been sent to custody till Sep 9. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had produced Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda to the court today. Apart from them, Kaizan the alleged drug peddler has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

Showik’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has been opposing the NCB’s demand for remand in the court as no seizures have been made during the raids. According to him, going by the NDPS acts, remand of 6-days cannot be approved by the court. According to the NCB, they have given fresh names and to corroborate the facts, they need these people in remand. Earlier today, Showik and Samuel were taken to a hospital for their medical check-up before they were produced in the court. Rhea, on the other hand, has reportedly been summoned by the NCB tomorrow for questioning. For the unversed, Rhea and her entire family including brother Showik and father Indrajith and mother Sandhya are the prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Rajput was found dead at his residence under mysterious circumstances on June 14th.
