Ronit Roy's COVID-19 mask making video from India goes viral in US amid ongoing George Floyd protest

Televison and Bollywood actor Ronit Roy‘s video is going viral amid the ongoing George Floyd protest in America. The actor posted the video a month ago in which he demonstrated how to use a T-shirt to make a mask during this ongoing global crisis, the novel coronavirus. Ronit Roy had made this video for the safety purpose of individuals so that they do not get infected by the deadly virus. This balaclava mask made out of cloth only exposes the eyes and covers rest of the face and hence it is a perfect mask amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The video No mask? Tension nahin Leneka! is widely being shared among US protesters. "If anyone is protesting today, here’s a way to make a balaclava mask with a T Shirt. Don’t forget your shades," wrote a Twitter user. When a user pointed out that the man in the video is Indian actor Ronit Roy, the user said, "Doesn’t matter who he is, don’t really care. Doesn’t matter that this video was intended for COVID, mask still covers your whole face. Doesn’t matter if it’s a $70 Zara shirt, you can use a $2 shirt. All that matters is that he taught us how to make a mask with a shirt." Ronit had originally shared the video on April 20. Reacting to his viral video, Ronit Roy wrote on Instagram, "My first tweet with 1M views. Unexpected but I’m happy that it was for a helpful thing and not something vain and trivial."
