Ruhi Singh raises her voice against domestic violence

Many big names from B-town having been expressing their concern over increase in domestic violence amid the nationwide lockdown and urged people to put a ‘Lockdown on Domestic Violence’. Joining the list is Bollywood actress and former beauty queen Ruhi Singh. The actress recently shared a post on her Instagram handle where she spoke about domestic violence. The black and white image of Ruhi has ‘I am Seema’ written across it. The actress went on to urge people to do the needful given the difficult times and something that must be done. She wrote, 'I am her voice today and the voices of the many victims of domestic abuse which are going unheard. Rising number of cases have put tremendous pressure on the resources of SNEHA, an NGO that has been fighting domestic violence since 20 years. They need to raise funds and raise resources to tackle domestic violence.'

Among other celebrities, the likes of Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif and many others have also raised their voice against domestic violence. She further went on to nominate beauty queens Purva Rana and Aavriti Choudhary to take this forward and also lend their support to the cause by raising their voices against domestic violence. Meanwhile, Ruhi amid the coronavirus lockdown has started digital diaries YuhiWithRuhi  with renowned names like Vishal Dadlani, Karan Kundra, Rahul Bose, and Akhil Sachdeva. The online sessions has received positive response on social media with few more guests lined up for the session.  On the other hand, Ruhi also had set up a task force to deliver medicines and food items to the members of her society during the COVID-19 crisis.
