Salman Khan Firing: Mumbai Crime Branch Detains Brother of Prime Accused

Following the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence on April 14th, the Mumbai Crime Branch has detained Sonu Gupta, brother of the main accused Vicky Gupta, for questioning. Mumbai Police suspects Sonu's involvement in the conspiracy.

The Mumbai Police revealed that the accused, Sagar Pal, was drawn to the allure of the gangster lifestyle. In pursuit of his aspirations, he connected with a gang and was subsequently contracted for the firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence. The accused were promised substantial financial rewards for what they were led to believe was a significant task.

The Mumbai police have initiated proceedings to issue a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol maintained communication with the suspects through various calling and messaging applications, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Additionally, he provided directives to the man detained from Haryana.The suspects involved in the shooting incident purchased multiple SIM cards and frequently changed them across different locations.

Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that Mr Khan topped the list of 10 main targets that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi planned to eliminate, citing the actor's infamous 1998 black buck hunting incident, which according to the gangster, offended the Bishnoi community.
