Sandeep Nahar Suicide: Case filed against late actor's wife and mother-in-law

The Mumbai Police have registered an abetment to suicide case against actor Sandeep Nahar's wife and mother-in-law, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror. Sandeep passed away on Monday, 15 February, in Mumbai after posting a video and a purported suicide note on Facebook. The police authorities have reportedly said that Sandeep was found unconscious in his flat by his wife Kanchan and friends, who then rushed him to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. As per the report, Sandeep's wife, mother-in-law, father and brother have recorded their statements to the police. The actor's last rites will be performed in Punjab.

According to PTI, the actor, in the video, said that he was “frustrated” with constant fights with his wife. However, he also requested that after he was gone, “please don’t say anything to Kanchan, but do get her treated”. He also reportedly mentioned stress in his professional life in the purported suicide note. The post and video have been deleted from Facebook. Reports also state that the cyber cell tried to track Sandeep down after they found his note on Facebook, but by the time they sprung to action the actor had passed away. Sandeep was part of films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Kesari. Actor Akshay Kumar remembered his Kesari co-star Sandeep Nahar in a heart-wrenching tweet on Tuesday. The superstar  described him as a "smiling young man passionate for food." Akshay wrote: "Heartbreaking to know about Sandeep Nahar's passing away. A smiling young man passionate for food as I remember him from Kesari. Life's unpredictable. Please seek help if ever feeling low. Peace for his soul. "Sandeep Nahar played the role of Sep Buta Singh in Kesari, which also starred Parineeti Chopra, Mir Sarwar and Ashwath Bhatt, among many others.
