'Selling Sunset' star Chrishell Stause confirmed on Saturday (local time) that her mother had died after a long battle with lung cancer.

"In disbelief that you are gone. Feeling just about every emotion, but I find comfort knowing Dad is up there taking care of you and showing you the ropes like only he could," Stause captioned a collection of family photos on Instagram.

The 38-year-old actor, who lost her father to cancer in April 2019, said "there is a peace knowing" her parents are "together again."

She continued, "Absolutely heartbreaking watching you take your last laboured breath, but there is a peace knowing you two are together again, free from the pain that plagued your time here. A free spirit and rebel till the very end. My beautiful Mom, in your own words #F***Cancer."

Stause then thanked those at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in her native Kentucky, telling the staff their "kindness and care in this time will never be forgotten."

According to Page Six, in February, Stause opened up about her mom's cancer diagnosis, two months after the Netflix star had split from husband Justin Hartley.

At the time, Stause posted to social media, "I just found out today is #worldcancerday eerily on the same day I found out my mom has 1 to 2 months to live from the same lung cancer that took my dad on Easter.I can't make sense of what life is teaching me yet, but my heart is with every person fighting this horrible disease and every person that it robbed a loved one from."

Last month, Stause posted a video of her mom modelling a wig she had previously worn to an award show.

"So I wore this wig many years ago to the American Music Awards just for fun to change it up. But now since my mom has lost her hair from cancer treatment, I felt like what better time to dust it off and have a little fun?? Here's me teaching my mom to give a good soap turn-hair flip," she captioned the clip.
