Sharman Joshi's father, and Gujarati actor Arvind Joshi dies in Mumbai

Gujarati theatre actor and director Arvind Joshi, actor Sharman Joshi and Mansi Joshi Roy's father breathed his last on January 29, in the morning at Nanavati Hospital in Bombay. He is survived by his wife and two children Sharman and Mansi. Mansi is married to actor Rohit Roy. He was the brother-in-law of actress Sarita Joshi and uncle of actress Ketki Dave. He has also acted in films such as Sholay and Ittefaq, and Apmaan Ki Aag. For the unversed, Sharman is married to  Prem Chopra's daughter Prerna.  

Paresh Rawal took to his Twitter handle to pay tribute. He tweeted, ''Irreparable loss to Indian theatre; with grief we say goodbye to the noted actor Shri Arvind Joshi. A stalwart, a versatile actor, an accomplished thespian, are the words that come to mind when I think of his performances. My condolences to @TheShermanJoshi & family. AUM SHANTI''. Sharman Joshi made his Bollywood debut with the 1999 National Award-winning film, Godmother, and got his first lead role in N Chandra's Style in 2001. Joshi has been employed in Bollywood for more than two decades. Some of his popular films include Rang De Basanti, Golmaal, 3 Idiots, Ferrari Ki Sawaari, and many more. Apart from films, the actor also ventured into television serials like Gubbare, Standing Boy: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Baarish and many more.
