Showik admits he arranged drugs for Sushant, and money was paid by Rhea

In his statement  to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty has confessed  that he supplied drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput at the behest of his sister Rhea Chakraborty. As per a Times Now report, in the statement recorded by the NCB under section 67 of the NDPS ACT, Showik reportedly said that he procured drugs for the late actor and it was his sister Rhea Chakraborty who paid for them. Showik also alleged that it was Sushant who asked buds and curated marijuana from him. He added that before the lockdown, in March, he got the drugs sourced through Basit Parihar by getting in touch with Zaid Vilatra and then Samuel Miranda scored that bud in a bag from outside a restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai.

Showik's recent revelation is likely to mount for trouble for Rhea who had claimed that she try to dissuade the Kedarnath star from taking drugs. Showik’s confession has come on the day when the session court is set to hear Rhea's bail plea. Rhea  who was recently arrested by the NCB and was sent into a 14 day judicial custody, has applied for the bail in the sessions court. To note, Rhea had sought a bail during the hearing at the court when she was presented before the magistrate post arrest. However, the NCB had opposed it. For the uninformed, The Enforcement Directorate had procured chat records of Rhea Chakraborty which had mentioning of drugs in them. They were handed over to the NCB which is now probing the drug abuse angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
