Showik and Samuel Miranda taken for medical test after their arrest in Sushant Singh Rajput death case

After arresting Rhea Chakraborty's brother, Showik Chakraboty, and Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager, Samuel Miranda, on Friday night, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday morning took them for a medical test as per a India Today report. Showik and Samuel have been arrested under sections 8c, 28, 29 of the NDPS Act. Section 8c of NDPS Act means prohibition of certain operations in which no person shall produce, manufacture, possess, sell, purchase, transport, warehouse, use, consume, import inter-state, export inter-state, import into India, export from India or tranship any narcotic drug or psychotropic substance.During the questioning, Showik Chakraborty confessed that he used to buy drugs at Rhea's behest. The NCB sources claim that he was facilitator not only for Sushant Singh Rajput, he also arranged narcotics for some other Bollywood stars.

Yesterday,  the NCB raided Showik Chakraborty's and Samuel Miranda's residences and searched Rhea Chakraborty's car, phone, and laptop in connection with the 'drug angle' to the case. Moreover, sources at the NCB revealed that Showik allegedly met 'drug peddler' Basit Parihar at a football club in Bandra to gain access to drugs. Parihar was already in contact with another drug peddler named Sohail - who allegedly supplied Showik and Rhea, marijuana also known as 'buds'. Rhea has already been issued a notice in the NCB case and is likely to be summoned. Showik and Miranda's arrest are in addition to the arrests of three others - Basit Parihar, Kaizan Ibraham and Zaid.
