“The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill”: Pooja Bhatt mourns the demise of actor Faraaz Khan

Actor Faraaz Khan, died after a brief illness at the age of 50.  The news was shared on Twitter by actor-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who had earlier shared that he was suffering from a brain infection. “With a heavy heart I break the news that #FaraazKhan has left us for what I believe, is a better place. Gratitude to all for your help & good wishes when he needed it most. Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers. The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill,” she wrote. In another tweet, Pooja shared pictures of Faraaz and wrote, “#FaraazKhan. May 1970-Nov 2020. May your music always play across time and space.”

The actor was reportedly undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru, he had been suffering from cough and a chest infection for nearly a year. Faraaz Khan was also suffering from a neurological disorder and his family had also initiated a fund raiser for him. Previously, Pooja Bhatt had urged netizens on Twitter to contribute funds towards the actor’s treatment. “ In October, Salman Khan had also extended financial support and paid for Faraaz Khan’s medical expenses. Faraaz’s family had said that he was suffering from a cough and an infection in his chest for nearly a year. When it aggravated due to the pandemic, he was advised hospitalisation during a virtual doctor consultation on October 8. Faraaz Khan had marked his debut in Bollywood in 1996 with ‘Fareb’ and later romanced Rani Mukerji in 1998 drama ‘Mehendi’. Later, Faraaz shifted to the small screen for better career prospects.
