Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has sparked a huge controversy in Bollywood with debates  around nepotism gaining full momentum. Actor Kangana Ranaut, who has previously talked about the issue, has once again raised questions on the functioning of Bollywood. The Queen actress in her latest video,  touched upon various topics like writing blind items, nepo kids and so on. While sharing her thoughts on Sushant’s tragic demise, the actress quoted ‘Kedarnath’ director Abhishek Kapoor and said that what happened to the actor was a “systematic dismantling of a fragile mind.” She went on to pick on certain blind items that she alleged were about the actor. While calling out this practice, she claimed that certain journalists “who are pets of the movie mafia” were involved in journalism that she described as “mental, emotional, psychological lynching.”

She went on to add, “3000 journalists ganged up against one girl and the society doesn't say anything, the law doesn't say anything. I tried to file a case against them but they disappeared a month later, my film released and they disappeared.” In the video she also questioned as to why blind items are not written about nepo kids.  While sharing the video the Manikarnika actress wrote the caption, "Emotional, psychological, and mental lynching on an individual happens openly and we all are all guilty of watching it silently. Is blaming the system enough? Will there ever be change? Are we going to see a monumental shift in the narrative on how outsiders are treated?" The video received positive response from nitizens who applauded the actress and vouched their support to Kangana.
