What punishment is Rhea Chakraborty is likely to face if she is proven guilty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and five others, alleging them of abetting the suicide. Based on his complaint, Bihar Police booked the six accused under IPC Section 306 and a number of other charges. According to IPC Section 306, a person is guilty of abetment to suicide when he/ she provokes somebody to commit suicide or is part of a conspiracy to make a person commit suicide or intentionally assists the victim in committing suicide by doing something or not doing something that he/she was bound to do. If a person is found guilty under Section 306, then he/ she shall be punished with imprisonment for up to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine.  

The FIR against the six accused also includes charges under IPC sections 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (Theft in dwelling house), 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property). Rhea Chakraborty's parents father Indrajeet Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty and brother Showik Chakraborty have also been named in the FIR.  Rhea was handling Sushant's bank account. In this regard, the police filed an FIR under sections 341, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 and 120 (B) of the IPC. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14. The postmortem report stated asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of death.
