Many Killed in stampede at Qassem Soleimani's funeral

Several people have been reported to have been killed in a stampede at the funeral of General Qassem Soleiman's funeral. The incident is reported to have taken place in Revolutionary Guard Qassem Soleimani's hometown of Kerman in southeastern Iran. Last week the top Iranian General was killed in a U.S airstrike in Baghdad. A procession in Tehran on Monday drew over 1 million people in the Iranian capital, crowding both main thoroughfares and side streets. 

The outpouring of grief was an unprecedented honor for a man viewed by Iranians as a national hero. America blamed him for the killing of American troops in Iraq and accused him of plotting new attacks just before his death on Friday in a drone strike at Baghdad's airport. Mourners in Kerman dressed in black posters bearing the image of Soleimani, a man who slaying prompted Iran's supreme leader to weep over his casket.
