'Stop the Count', tweets an angry Donald Trump as Joe Biden inches closer towards White House

Donald Trump has dramatically tweeted that US election officials should ‘STOP THE COUNT, ’Dozens of the president’s supporters – some carrying guns – descended on a vote counting center in Marciopa County, Arizona, on Wednesday night demanding that workers there count every vote. With Joe Biden inching towards the 270 majority-mark, the Trump camp is planning to take legal action in Nevada and Arizona. Trump has already announced lawsuits in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia and demanded a recount in Wisconsin. "The damage has already been done to the integrity of our system, and to the Presidential Election itself," Trump said while alleging "without proof or explanation that secretly dumped ballots" had been added in Michigan.

Meanwhile, Biden has also expressed confidence that he is winning "enough states to reach the magic number of 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency". Biden has 264 electoral college votes while Trump has 214. Russia's foreign ministry said outdated legislation and a lack of regulation had revealed flaws in the US electoral system, as votes were being tallied to decide the next American president.
