Hello Kitty products are no strangers to those who love the Japanese kitty character, but this new handbag bearing the iconic feline will cause a dent worth $2,590 in your pocket.

Yes, you read it right and it all thanks to luxury Parisian brand Balenciaga's collaboration with Hello Kitty.

A collection of accessories with the classic character of Hello Kitty and a high price range have been developed for the collaboration.

Yuko Shimizu created the character in 1974 started out on a coin purse, and then there was no looking back as the character now graces products like schoolbags to air purifiers.

The ever-evolving Hello Kitty has also crossed fashion runways now. Male models toured in black, pink and white versions of the iconic Ville bag of the brand in September during the spring 2020 show of Balenciaga, all embellished with the distinctive cartoon cat.

The products have the cute kitty face but are definitely not for kids. The medium Ville top-handled bag priced at $2590 is mainly meant for serious fans with bank accounts.

Other pieces, such as a phone case, an XXS tote and an XS camera bag are also included in the collaboration.

The collaborative products are available throughout the world on January 27.
