Ganesh Chaturthi: Check out the recipe for 'Maida Boondi Laddu'

Ganesh Chaturthi, a 10-day Hindu festival, celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the god of auspicious beginnings. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ganesha is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

The festival is believed to remove all obstacles from human life and bring peace and prosperity.

Laddus are often made during Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaviti festival along with other traditional prasad.

Try these basic and simple recipe of  Maida Boondi Laddu Recipe:

Ingredients
1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
1 cup Milk
few Raisins
Ghee for deep fry

Method:

- In a bowl add all purpose flour mix with enough Milk and make thick dosa batter without lumps.
- Heat oil in a wide pan, when hot pour the batter over a ladle with small round holes.
- Tap it gently with a spoon, so that small balls of the batter fall into the Ghee.
- Don't fry them crispy, take them out when they are soft and keep them side.
- Let it cool for some time, once cooled grind the fried boondi slightly.
- Boil sugar and water in a heavy bottomed pan and make syrup like
- Let it cool for some time, then make round balls or laddus with raisins.
- Maida boondi laddus are ready to serve and allow them to dry, store them in an airtight container.
