As the world grapples with the coronavirus crisis, designer Ralph Lauren and his company will be donating $10 million towards efforts to combat the disease.

Ralph Lauren pledges US$ 10 million to global coronavirus relief efforts

Washington D.C. [USA], Mar 27 : As the world grapples with the coronavirus crisis, designer Ralph Lauren and his company will be donating $10 million towards efforts to combat the disease.

The designer announced that the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation would set aside $10 million for causes related to the coronavirus. Taking to social media, the brand shared wrote an inspirational message: "In the spirit of togetherness, we rise."

"Now more than ever, supporting each other in this time of need has become our mission. As we face this global challenge together, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is committing $10 million to help our teams and communities around the world," the fashion company posted on Instagram.

These funds will provide disease relief efforts, split across different causes including the Emergency Assistance Foundation, the World Health Orgsation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and more.

In addition, the donation will benefit financial grants through the Emergency Assistance Foundation for Ralph Lauren colleagues facing special circumstances like medical, eldercare or childcare needs as well as the Pink Pony Fund to ensure those suffering from cancer have the resources and care they need during this vulnerable time.

"As we face this challenge as a global community, our hope is to continue to be the beacon of optimism and unity that Ralph Lauren and our brands have always been to the world," Ralph concluded.
