Cabinet Reshuffle: Maharashtra cabinet reshuffle soon, 2 'Congress' ministers to be dropped

After the expansion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet, there are indications that the cabinet will be reshuffled in Maharashtra as well. Thackeray's cabinet will be reshuffled soon and it is likely that incompetent ministers will be dropped. The Tribal Development Minister K. C Padvi and Fisheries Minister Aslam Sheikh names are said to be in the list.

Instead of these two faces of the Congress, new faces can be included in the cabinet. K. C Padvi is likely to be replaced by a tribal face and Aslam Sheikh by a Muslim face. NCP leader Anil Deshmukh had to resign as Home Minister due to allegations of alleged recovery of Rs 100 crore. Sanjay Rathod had to resign from the post of Forest Minister as his named popped up in Pooja Chavan suicide case. Due to the resignation of these two, one ministerial post each from Shiv Sena-NCP is vacant.

Two faces of the Congress will be left out in the cabinet reshuffle. Lobbying is underway in Delhi for this. Recently, Nitin Raut had met senior leaders in Delhi. State President Nana Patole, Ashok Chavan and Balasaheb Thorat will also meet in Delhi. Nana Patole has resigned from the post of Assembly Speaker and accepted the responsibility of the post of State President. Therefore, the post of Assembly Speaker is vacant. The three parties are likely to reshuffle their cabinets from the point of view of party organization. It is being said that Satej Patil will be promoted in the Congress. Satej Patil is currently the Minister of State for Home Affairs.

Recently, Congress leaders have taken stock of the workings of all cabinet ministers. After reviewing this, it will be decided to remove the two ministers who are not working or whose performance is bad. The Congress has also proposed to remove the accounts of two of the ministers allotted to them. In the Thackeray government's cabinet expansion, Congress state president Nana Patole is likely to be given the ministry post along with the state president post.
