Convoy of 500 vehicles welcome gangster Gajanan Marne after his release from jail

A convoy of over 500 cars and thousands of supporters welcomed notorious criminal Gajanan Marne after he was released from Taloja. Marne was released from the jail at 5.45 pm on Monday. There was a large crowd outside the jail waiting to welcome him and left for Pune on the expressway.

All the cars in the convoy proceeded through the highway without paying the toll on the toll plaza. 

A special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) on Friday acquitted gangster Gajanan, alias Gaja Pandharinath Marne alias Maharaj (44), along with his 13 aides in the murder case of rival gang member Pappu, alias Santosh Hiraman Gawade and Amol Badhe.

Pappu Gawade was a member of the Nilesh Ghaiwal gang. He was brutally murdered on November 4, 2014, in Lavale area allegedly by the Gajanan Marne gang.
