Cyclone Nisarga: Indian Coast Guard mobilises eight relief teams

Indian Meteorological Department has said that the Cyclone Nisarga has become a severe cyclonic storm. Coastal Karnataka and the Marathwada regions will be seeing light to moderate rainfall in the next six hours. Isolated places in Mumbai, Palghar, Thane, Raigad districts may also receive heavy rainfall.

The Indian Coast Region has mobilised 8 disaster relief teams for the state of Maharashtra to respond to any requirement of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief due to the impact of Cyclone Nisarga.

These teams are placed at Dahanu, Mumbai, Murud Janjira & Ratnagiri. Similar teams are also standby at Goa,Karnataka & Kerala: Indian Coast Guard #CycloneNisarga
