Cyclone Tauktae: I am taking stock of situation on ground not from a helicopter, CM Thackeray takes jibe at PM Modi

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that he is visiting the cyclone-hit area to provide relief to affected people of Konkan and not to respond to opposition's criticism. The BJP has criticized the Chief Minister for visiting Konkan for only four hours. "It's been four hours. I didn't come here for photosession. I don't feel the need for it," CM said. He was talking to reporters after a review meeting in Ratnagiri.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is visiting Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg today. The Chief Minister will take stock of the areas affected by the cyclone. However, the question being raised by the opposition is how the four-hour tour will reveal the impact of the situation and the crisis. It is not inspected by helicopter.

The Chief Minister took a jab at Prime Minister Modi, saying that he was taking stock of the situation on the ground. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday conducted an aerial survey of the Cyclone Tauktae affected areas of Gujarat and Diu. He conducted an aerial survey of areas such as Una, Diu, Jafarabad, and Mahuva.

To provide relief to the people of Konkan, CM is visiting Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg area. The spot assessment of losses in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Raigad and other districts is expected to be completed in a day or two. CM will hold review meetings with officials from Ratnagiri and Sindhdurg, following his visit to the affected areas of the two districts. In Sindhudurg, Thackeray will visit villages at Vengurla and Malvan tehsils.

My tour is four hours long. I'm not interested in doing a photo session. I don't think I need it. Because I am a photographer myself, said the Chief Minister. After holding a review meeting in Ratnagiri, Chief Minister Thackeray has left for Sindhudurg. There they will inspect the damaged areas.
