Gopichand Padalkar appointed as spokesperson of Western Maharashtra

BJP MLC Gopichand Padalkar in June had made a controversial remark terming Sharad Pawar as "coronavirus" that has infected Maharashtra. Padalkar's remark on the senior leader had created a  political stir in Maharashtra. 

It seems like the BJP leader has benefitted from the controversy as he has been given the responsibility of the spokesperson of Western Maharashtra.

BJP state president Chandrakant Patil on Monday announced the appointment of BJP spokesperson and panelist. Former Kolhapur MP Dhananjay Mahadik, who became a BJP supporter after the Lok Sabha, has also been given the post of spokesperson for Western Maharashtra. 

Keshav Upadhyay was appointed as the chief spokesperson last month. However, the names of 10 spokespersons and 33 panel members have been announced today.
