Maharashtra: Schools asked to submit class 10 results to divisional boards within 20 days

The Department of Education and the State Board of Education have decided to conduct the internal evaluation after the cancellation of the Class 10 examination in Maharashtra. The State Board of Education then on Wednesday announced the details and timetable for tabulation of marks for Std X board exams 2020-21 based on internal assessments. 

Accordingly, in order to announce the results, a result committee of 7 members of the school will have to be formed and the results will have to be submitted to the divisional boards within 20 to 25 days. Subject teachers and class teachers have to collect the marks of the students within 10 days from June 11 and submit the results to the committee. In the next 10 days, the results committee and the headmaster have to certify the marks, fill in the system and then submit it to the divisional board. 2 copies of the result certified by the result committee have to be prepared, one copy of which is to be submitted to the headmaster and the other to the divisional board. At the same time, the headmaster has been instructed to submit a copy of the ninth result of the students to the divisional board.

As per the notice published by the Maharashtra Board, the Class 10 students’ results would be based on internal marks secured by them in Class 9 and Class 10. The evaluation process which is slated to commence from 3rd July 2021 onwards will give 50% weight would be for Class 9 and 50% would be for Class 10.

The government has also set up Youtube video to train teacher on the evaluation criteria. A format for updation and tabulation of marks has also been provided on the official website mahahsscboard.in.
