'My phone was tapped and code named Amjad Khan', alleges Nana Patole

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Tuesday on the second day of the Assembly session has made serious allegations regarding phone tapping. Nana Patole has alleged that his phone was tapped between 2016-17 and he was code named Amjad Khan. Patole also alleged that Union Minister Raosaheb Danve's PA's phone and MP Sanjay Kakade's phone was also tapped along with him. He also asked why a Muslim code name was given to him, was it to create disharmony? Was there any intention to create a rift between Hindus and Muslims in this way and to ignite the state through politics in the name of religion?

"I was an MP. There was no reason to watch my movements. But according to the information I got, I was code named Amjad Khan. The PA number of the present minister Danve at the Center was also tapped. MP Sanjay Kakade's number was tapped. There are so many names. Phones of their own people were also tapped. No one has the right to infringe on anyone's privacy. Religion also says that if we listen to someone's conversation, it is a sin. I don't know if civilized people are doing politics like this now, ”said Nana Patole.

“What was the need to tap the phones? Who is behind this? These phones were tapped through Pune Police Commissioner during 2017-18. By whose order did this happen? Need to know how many people, whose phones were tapped. Who are the facilitators? Tapping phones need approval from the government,” said Nana Patole.
