Inspector of Police Bhimrao Ghadge has leveled serious allegations against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh. An FIR has been registered against Singh in Akola on Wednesday and he is likely to be arrested any time.

According to sources, Inspector Bhimrao Ghadge had lodged a serious complaint against the then Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, who was accused of having close connections with underworld gangsters.

The City Kotwali police in Akola registered the FIR against the 27 police personnel under various sections ranging from criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities Act), 1989. A total of 27 sections have been applied in the FIR. According to sources, Parambir Singh could be arrested at any time in the case.

Ghadge, who was posted in Thane police commissionerate during 2015-2018 has alleged that during his tenure, several officers there under Param Bir Singh had indulged in various acts of corruption. Ghadge, who is now posted in the Akola police control room, had also alleged that after he refused to obey Singh's instructions, 5 FIRs were registered against him and he was suspended.

Ghadge was falsely accused by the then Thane Police Commissioner Parambir Singh for filing charges against six persons close to him. Not only that, Ghadge and his wife were kept in an Anda cell at the Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai, just like notorious criminal or a terrorist. Ghadge and his wife spent a year and two months in the anda cell while there was no crime.

A case has been registered against 27 police officers, including former Mumbai and Thane police commissioner Parambir Singh, at the City Kotwali police station in Akola on Wednesday night
