Pooja Chavan Suicide Case: Aaditya Thackeray reacts to Pooja Chavan suicide case

On potentially embarrassing situation developed for the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra as a TikTok star's death in Pune has snowballed into a political row with the opposition BJP on Friday demanding an impartial probe into the incident.

 Ex-Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadavnis demanded that the death of Pooja Chavan should be investigated as the alleged phone conversation between Pooja and Sanjay Rathod became viral. She was 22 and pregnant with the illegitimate child of this Minister and hence committed suicide.

The name of Shiv Sena minister has come to the fore in the suicide case of 22-year-old Pooja Chavan, which has created a embarrassing situation for the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra. Many leaders of Shiv Sena have avoided reacting on the whole controversy. State Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray was also asked about the Pooja Chavan case and he said, "I don't know about it yet. I would like to speak on the matter after learning the case fully." He was talking to the media in Ratnagiri.

Meanwhile, National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of the death of a girl allegedly by the suicide in Pune.A detailed action taken report has been sought in the case. 

The deceased - Pooja Chavan (22) - hailed from Beed district and had just come to Pune to attend an English-speaking course. She was living along with two youth, said to be her brother and his friend. On February 8, she allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a building named Heaven Park in the Wanawadi area of the city, sparking off a controversy.
