Sanjay Raut takes U-turn on abusive remarks against Kangana, says 'haramkhor' means 'naughty'

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut after being criticized on social media for calling actor Kangana Ranaut a 'haramkhor ladki', has taken a U-turn on his remark and said that he has never threatened her.

Shiv Sena MP accused the Centre and BJP IT cell of 'deliberately twisting his words to defame Maharashtra'.

"I just said, if you have a problem with Mumbai then don't come here. Haarmkhor remark has also been taken out of context ... in Marathi it means 'beiman' or 'naughty'. I said it in that context," Sanjay Raut told India Today TV.

"All these are deliberate attempts to defame Maharashtra, the Centre has been doing this. There are many instances where central agencies were misused. I never threatened Kangana. BJP IT cell deliberately gave it a different turn. Show me one statement where I threatened her," he said.

"It's been a deliberate attempt to defame Mumbai Police. Don't forget it is Mumbai Police that saved Bollywood from the Underworld," he said.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday used abusive language while criticizing Kangana for her remarks on Mumbai. He called her 'haramkhor' as several celebrities, including those had earlier spoken against Kangana slammed Raut for the remark.
