SSC Exam 2021: Maha govt decides evaluation criteria for class 10 students

Maharashtra school education department has taken a big decision regarding the 10th standard examinations in the state. Due to the outbreak of corona, the Department of Education had earlier announced the cancellation of Class X examinations, giving priority to the health of students.

But while passing the students altogether, how exactly will they be evaluated
Such a question was being presented. Minister for School Education Varsha Gaikwad has given detailed information in this regard today.

What exactly is the formula?

Although the students of class X in the state will not be examined at the examination centers, 100 marks have been divided into different sections on the basis of their school performance so far. 30 marks for written examination on 10th syllabus, 20 marks for homework done by 10th standard student till date and oral examination and 50 marks for class 9 result, this is how students will be assessed.

Alternate entrance test for class 11th

Although students of class 10 will be passed altogether, if they are unhappy with the assessment done by the schools, they will be able to take the Common Examination (CET) as an alternative for admission to class XI.

Preference to students giving CET

Even after the evaluation of the result of class 10th, the students who give CET for the examination of 11th class will be given priority for the admission of class XI. After that, the remaining seats will be given to the students who have passed through internal assessment, said Varsha Gaikwad.

Results will be declared  by the end of June

Varsha Gaikwad also said that the Board of Education aims to decare results of the assessment of 10th standard students by the end of June. Apart from this, the education department is also considering conducting a two-hour examination for the students who are not happy with the assessment done by the school, said Gaikwad.
