Unlock 4.0: Here's what you can expect in Maharashtra after September 1

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday issued new guidelines which open up of more activities in areas outside the containment zones in Unlock 4.

In Unlock 4, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray will soon allow inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods, raise attendance in government offices and schools, and increase occupancy limits for hotels. 

Here's what you can expect in Maharashtra Unlock 4 guidelines: 

No separate permission or e-pass is likely to be required for movement of people and goods, intra- or inter-state.

Occupancy in hotels will be enhanced from 33% to 50%. In-house guests can avail dining facilities, decision on allowing outsiders will be taken later. 

Attendance requirement in government offices for IAS officer-level staff likely to be raised to 100%. Attendance requirement in government offices for Subordinate staff likely to be increased from 15% to 30%. Frequency of suburban trains to be increased to facilitate the move.

Students of classes 9 to 12 outside containment zones will be allowed to visit school to consult teachers, subject to written permission of parents or guardians. 

Decision on re-opening restaurants soon.

Gyms to be granted permission to reopen within a week. SOPs are being drafted regarding the same.

According to an official, the CM wishes to grant more relaxations, but remains concerned about the rise in coronavirus cases.
