Two youth accusing a doctor of negligence in treatment of their mother injured a doctor and his uncle and vandalised his clinic. The incident took place in Tavakkal Co-operative Society under the jurisdiction of Mankapur police station. The Accused Ishtiyaq Gulzar Khan (22) and Eliyas Khan (28) are residents of Sant Gyaneshwar Society.

The mother of the Khan siblings had been feeling sick for a few days. They took her for treatment at the clinic of Dr Abdul Qayyum in Tavakkal Layout. According to the available information, the accused had paid `12,000 for their mother’s treatment. The accused stated that even after the treatment there was no improvement in their mother’s health.

On the night of January 15, the Khan siblings reached the clinic of Dr Qayyum and asked for a written information of the treatment on doctors letter head and started to argue demanding return of the treatment money.

Dr Qayyum tried explaining them but the siblings got infuriated and created ruckus and vandalised the clinic and assaulted him with BP machine and hit Dr Qayyum’s uncle with helmet. Dr Qayyum has filed a complaint against the Khan brothers in Mankapur Station.

They assaulted and injured Dr Qayyum with the BP equipment and abused and injured Dr Qayyum’s uncle with a helmet.

Police has filed a case of assault, damage under the Maharashtra Medical Service Personnel Act and Medical Service Organisation Act. The Khan brothers have been arrested and they have complaint against Dr Qayyum about negligence in treatment.
