6 of a family positive in Laxminagar Zone

Nagpur, July 6

Amidst the decrease in the number of Covid patients, six members of a family were found positive in Laxminagar Zone on Monday.

After mild symptoms were visible, as precautionary measure, they were admitted to MLA Hostel. One of these patient had travelled to Pune. NEERI has sent their samples to Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad.

Earlier, samples of eight patients suspected of ‘Delta Plus’ from Umred were also sent to CCMB, but they were found to be infected with Delta variant only. For two consecutive months, patients of Covid were being less as compared to normal patients, but on Tuesday 21 patients came positive and 16 recovered.

Total number of patients in Nagpur districtare

4,77,230. The death count is same 9,031 since the last two days. The Covid cases in the city have been increasing and decreasing since the last 6 days but situation is under control and from June 19, the number of infected patients are below 50.

Maximum number of patients were found in Nagpur district in the month of April. On the 30th of April. 6,461 patients were infected and more than 7,294 patients were cured. After this, the number recovered patients were more for consecutive 66 days. At present, the recovery rate of patient is at 98 percent.

Zero death in rural since 24 days

On Tuesday 6,558 tests were conducted in the district. The positivity rate stood at 0.32 percent. Around 13 patients were found in city and 8 in the rural areas. Good news is that that not a single patient was killed in villages from 24 consecutive days. At the same time, there have been six deaths in the district in the last six days.
