90 lawns, marriage halls inspected

Nagpur, Feb 17

The number of corona patients in Nagpur has increased rapidly during the week. Every day more than 500 patients are becoming positive. In six days, around 2,796 patients have increased. The municipal administration and district administration have taken strict action in this regard. The administration is keeping a close eye on marriage halls in particular. The crackdown has been going on for two days. As many as 90 lawns and marriage halls in the city were inspected on Wednesday.

Schools and colleges have been started in Nagpur. The attendance is school has gone down by 50 per cent. College attendance is just 25 percent. In addition, there are instructions to take all preventive measures. Temples are open and devotees are allowed, however, they have been instructed not to let to much of crowd. NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B has allowed 50 people instead of 200 in wedding ceremonies and public events.

Squad is formed at zone level. NMC has collected Rs1.5 crore fine by taking action against those who do not wear masks.

The corona, which has been on the rise for the past few days, has prompted the state government to direct the administration to take drastic steps. The administration is paying more attention to party lawns and marriage halls, as wedding ceremonies are currently in full swing.
